Alejandro WinzerBorn in Cuernavaca, Morelos August 16th 1977. Raised in a family that enjoys good food, wines & spirits and travelling, found his passion for food in his mother’s kitchen and father’s traditional German bakery. Studied Hotel Management and Culinary Arts besides several other courses and diplomas. Starts his professional career sharing his Mexican roots and working in several countries such as Belgium, Spain (“Restaurant El Faro del Puerto”, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz ), Canada (Market Square Grill, St. Andrews NB) and the US (Agave Mexican Bistro, Newburyport, MA), sharing Mexican culture and food to then, after his long journey where he enriched himself with traditions and culture of the countries he visited, he establishes back in Mexico in Cancun Q. Roo (“Glazz Restaurant”) for several months then moving to beautiful Puerto Vallarta where he lived with his beautiful wife and three kids for 5 years working as executive chef (“Los Xitomates”and “Spiaggia”) and being part of various international events such as “Gourmet festival”and “Culinary Jam session”, almost eight years ago he decided to move to Canada with his family seeking for a safe environment and community,  he joined the team of “Ristorante Verdicchio”as Executive Chef for seven years; during this period of time he has been awarded with several certificates and accolades such as C.C.C. certification (Certified Chef de Cuisine), member at large of the CCFCC, active R.C.C. (Rational Certified Chef) and recently welcomed as “Maitre Rotisseur” for “La chaine des Rotisseurs” among others. In the fall of 2015 he decides to relocate to Niagara Falls where he joins the team of the “Fallsview Casino Resort” as Chef de Cuisine for their 4 Diamond fine dining Italian restaurant “Ponte Vecchio”.
